pasta from lexington!

Okay major confession here. I haven't written for like a month. Actually that may not be a confession since you've probably already realized this. Anyways I am back now so be ready for posts at least once a week if not twice:) So without further ado here is the end to my silence of blog writing:

a few weeks ago, my family and i went to lexington, kentucky to see my brother Jesse. i don't know if you remember or not, but i've blogged about him before. right now he's in school learning how to become a jockey (you can check out my early post about him here ). anyway, the reason for us going was to watch him break from the gate. it was amazing! in just a few strides, he was going close to 40mph! it was incredible to see. here are a few pictures from the weekend.

while we were in lexington, Jesse took us to his local farmers market. it was so much fun to see and taste all the unique food. i bought some pasta, which turned out to be amazing! the type i bought was a fettuccine sun dried tomato infused pasta. i sauteed: chicken, squash, carrots, tomatoes, and red onions. and then tossed it with the cooked pasta along with Parmesan and olive oil. it was delicious! our next visit to lexingotn i will defiantly have to pick up some more pasta!
p.s. like my pasta dish? i painted it at Eureka Clay Time, a pottery shop about 15 minutes away that i often go to with my sister to paint pottery.
